Eye Checkup-Camp at Cheyyar

As part of Voltech’s CSR outreach, the company organized a free one-day Eye-Checkup camp at the Irumanthangal Factory Premises for all the villages and people of the locality. The Special Camp was set up in association with the Sankara Eye Hospital and the Kancheepuram District Vision Loss Prevention Association. The camp which was conducted from 9:30 am- 12:30 pm was especially useful for diagnosing curable eye ailments like cataract which are a major cause of blindness to untreated individuals. The camp was a special part of Voltech CSR initiative, meant to bring quality and affordable healthcare services to rural areas, with special focus on neglected and far-flung communities. The best doctors and medical healthcare professionals from the field were part of this outreach, along with state-of-the-art medical equipment, and the most innovative practices. Voltech’s efforts to reach out to communities across the state has been relentless, with many of its CSR activities bringing much needed respite and cheer to the rural populace. With its unending zeal for social betterment and community welfare, the Eye-checkup camp was greatly beneficial for senior citizens and financially challenged families.
